Peer Reviewer Policy
The publication of articles in the Journal of Healthcare and Community Development depends solely on scientific validity and coherence, as determined by our editors and peer reviewers. They will also assess whether the writing is clear and whether the work contributes significantly to the field. The journal acknowledges the efforts and suggestions of its reviewers.
Initial Evaluation of Manuscripts
The Editor will first evaluate all submitted manuscripts. Although rare, an exceptional manuscript might be accepted at this stage. Manuscripts rejected at this stage typically lack originality, have significant scientific flaws, or fall outside the journal's aims and scope. Manuscripts meeting the minimum criteria are forwarded to experts for review.
Type of Peer Review
Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Healthcare and Community Development are generally reviewed by two to three experts. They will evaluate whether the manuscript is scientifically sound, coherent, free from duplication of published works, and sufficiently clear for publication. The review process is double-blind.
Review Reports
Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:
- Clearly states its objectives and addresses research gaps.
- Is methodologically sound.
- Adheres to appropriate ethical guidelines.
- Presents results/findings clearly and supports the conclusions.
- Correctly references previous relevant work.
Reviewers are not expected to correct or copyedit manuscripts, as language correction is not part of the peer review process.
Decision
Reviewers provide recommendations to the Editor, who is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the article. The Editor's decision is based on the reviewers' reports and, if necessary, consultation with the Editorial Board. The Editor's decision is final.

Reviewers for our journal are volunteers who contribute their expertise to the scientific community, and thus no financial payments are made.
