Instructions to Authors

Language and Format

All manuscripts should be written in good Indonesia Languange. Only the title and abstract are in English.

All manuscripts must contain the required sections: Author Information, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions, and Declarations based on the provided templates. Tables and Figures should be placed directly in the texts. Please follow the requirements based on the types of the submission (Original article or Review). 

Structure of the Manuscript

Original Article

The format for Original Article as follow:

Title page

Title: Should be concise and informative. Titles are often used in information-retrieval systems. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible.
Author names and affiliations: Please clearly indicate the given name(s) and family name(s) of each author and check that all names are accurately spelled. Present the authors' affiliation addresses below the names following the templates. Middle name should be written as the initial. Indicate all affiliations with a lower-case superscript letter immediately after the author's name and in front of the appropriate affiliation.
Corresponding author(s): Clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication and post-publication. In Journal of Healthcare and Community Development, the corresponding author must be the submitting author.

Abstract

A concise non-structured abstract is required. The abstract should state briefly all components of background, aim, methods, results and conclusion. Abstract must be able to stand alone. References should be avoided. Non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself.

Key words

Five key words should be listed after the abstract. Key words should be self-sufficient to allow the classification of the paper by subject area and to function as heads in a volume’s index of keywords. Choose them according to Index Medicus, do not merely duplicate words from the title.

Introduction

Provide an adequate background, and state the aim(s) of the study at the end of the Introduction. Avoid detailed methods or a summary of the results.

Methods

Metode harus menjabarkan cara kegiatan pengabdian secara detail mulai dari penyampaian materi, diskusi, penilaian kemapuan peserta pengabdian, cara survei atau cara mengambil sampel atau angket dalam kegiatan.

Results

Hasil harus menjabarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, hasil pengabdian ini selanjutnya dijelaskan secara detail, hasil juga mampu menjelaskan hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat yaitu apakah berupa penjelasan hasil pretest atau postest

Discussion

This section discusses the significance of the results of the study. Please avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature, rather explain discussion of the explanation of the results. This section should not have subheadings. 

Conclusions

The main conclusions of the study should be stated briefly based on the results of the study. Please avoid citing the previous study in this section.

Acknowledgements: List here those individuals who provided help during the research such as providing language help, writing assistance or proof reading the article and others.

Competing interests: A competing interests statement should be provided, even if the authors have no competing interests to declare. If no conflict exists, authors should state: “The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest”.

Funding: List funding sources in this standard way to facilitate compliance to funder's requirements. It is not necessary to include detailed descriptions on the program or type of grants and awards. When funding is from a block grant or other resources available to a university, college, or other research institution, submit the name of the institute or organization that provided the funding. If no funding has been provided for the research, please include the following sentence: “This study did not receive any specific grant from funding agencies in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.” or “This study received no external funding”.

References

Reference citations are not permitted in the abstract of a paper. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all literature citations. Please see details of the Reference section on how to cite and prepare the reference list. Authors are also recommended to see the published article as an example.

Table

Tables should be submitted as editable text and not as images and should be placed directly in the text. Please refer to the Table and Figures Section for detailed information.

Figure

All figures should use the Georgia font with Journal of Healthcare and Community Development color tone and all figures should be created in high quality. Please refer to the Table and Figures Section for detailed information.

References

The Warta Pengabdian Andalas bibliography style follows the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition guidelines. It is crucial to include a complete list of all the sources mentioned in the article. These sources should only come from primary sources like scientific journals. Moreover, at least 80% of the total references should have been published in the last five years. Each article should include at least fifteen references. To make writing and citation management easier, it is highly recommended to use a reference manager like Mendeley or Zotero.
